Mongstad Refinery
The Mongstad refinery (Equinor ASA department Refinery Mongstad) is a sub-entity of Equinor ASA and the largest oil refinery in Norway and one of the most advanced in Europe. It began operations in 1975 and has undergone significant expansions and upgrades since then.
The refinery produces a wide range of products including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and liquefied petroleum gas. The plant is strategically important for Norway’s oil industry, contributing significantly to the nation’s economy and energy supply.
